LOS ANGELES, CALIF.-- Abacus Insurance Brokers, Inc., a Los Angeles-based program manager that distributes specialty insurance products online through www.abacus.net, has launched an online program that enables homeowners to reduce the deductible on their existing earthquake policy.
The earthquake deductible buyback program is available in California and allows the owner of a single family residence, duplex, triplex, or fourplex to reduce their earthquake deductible to as low as 5%. Coverage is backed by an A rated, size XV, admitted carrier.
With a minimum premium of $150 and no age restrictions, the program will appeal to a broad base of homeowners who own property ranging from small residences to mansions.
"We are excited about the launch of this program" says Darren Lewin, vice president of program development, Abacus. "A void in the market has now been filled as this buyback program allows for a fairly priced deductible reduction on residences of any size. The Abacus program breaks the price barrier and makes lower earthquake deductibles affordable to almost every property owner."
