Travelers Named Carrier for Abacus Insurance Brokers' Online Events Program

SAINT PAUL, Minn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 3, 2007--Travelers today announced that it has been named by Abacus Insurance Brokers as the carrier for the Abacus Special Event Program, its online events program, effective immediately.

Abacus Insurance Brokers is a Los Angeles-based retail and wholesale insurance brokerage that distributes traditional and specialty insurance products online through Abacus.net. The Abacus Special Event Program provides coverage for more than 200 types of events of any size and duration such as plays, concerts, weddings, meetings and festivals. The program coverages include the following: general liability, liquor liability, automobile liability and physical damage, umbrella, third party property damage, rented equipment, props, sets and wardrobe. The coverages can be underwritten as a single event or as multiple events on an annual policy.

Working through Travelers Encore Entertainment in Glendale, Calif., a dedicated specialty practice within Travelers, Abacus Insurance Brokers will serve as Travelers' program manager, offering the event program in all 50 states.
